This privacy policy describes how Car Modify ("Application", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By using the Application, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Car Modify is an AI-powered car modification app. You can upload photos of your vehicle, apply visual modifications using artificial intelligence, save your edit history, purchase credits for additional edits, and optionally share results with the in-app community feed.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to operate the Application and provide its features.

a. Information You Provide

• Account Information: You may use the Application as a guest with anonymous authentication, or sign in with email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. Depending on the method you choose, we may process your email address, display name, profile photo URL, and phone number (if provided by your sign-in provider). Guest accounts do not require an email address.
• Profile Information: You may optionally set a display name and upload a profile photo, which are stored in your user account.
• Vehicle Photos and Modification Data: When you create an AI modification, we process the photo you select, your chosen modification parts, optional custom text prompts, generated result images, and related metadata (such as task status and timestamps). Source and result images are stored in Firebase Storage and associated records in Cloud Firestore.
• Community Feed Content: If you choose to share a modification to the community feed, we store the published image, optional source image reference, modification details, and your display name (or an anonymous label if you post anonymously). Comments and likes on feed posts are also stored.
• Purchase Information: When you buy credit packages through in-app purchases, transaction processing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive purchase confirmation data needed to credit your account; we do not receive or store your full payment card details.
• Support and Account Requests: If you contact us by email (for example, to request account deletion), we receive the information you include in your message.

b. Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage and Analytics Data: We collect anonymized usage data through Firebase Analytics, such as screens viewed, features used, session duration, and general interaction events. This helps us understand how the Application is used and improve performance and user experience.
• Push Notification Token (FCM Token): If you allow push notifications, we collect and store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token linked to your account so we can send service-related notifications.
• Device and App Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, app version, and similar technical identifiers for authentication, delivery of notifications, analytics, and troubleshooting.
• Local App Data: The Application may store preferences and cached media locally on your device (for example, via secure storage or on-device cache) to improve loading speed and remember settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Service Delivery: To authenticate you, process AI car modification requests, deliver generated images, maintain your edit history, and operate the community feed (posts, likes, and comments).
• Credits and Purchases: To manage your credit balance, validate in-app purchases, and apply purchased credits to your account.
• Personalization: To display your profile, saved modifications, and feed activity within the Application.
• Communication: To send push notifications (when enabled) and respond to support or account requests.
• Analysis and Improvement: To analyze usage through Firebase Analytics, configure app behavior through Firebase Remote Config, and develop new features.
• AI Processing: To send your selected vehicle photo and modification instructions to our backend and AI services so we can generate modified images for you.
• Security and Account Management: To protect the Application, manage accounts (including guest-to-registered account linking), and process deletion requests.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Application:

• Google / Firebase: For anonymous and social authentication (Firebase Auth), database storage (Cloud Firestore), file storage (Firebase Storage), cloud functions (Firebase Cloud Functions), analytics (Firebase Analytics), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and remote configuration (Firebase Remote Config).
• AI and Backend Processing: Vehicle photos and modification prompts may be processed on Google Cloud infrastructure, including Firebase AI and related cloud functions, solely to generate your requested modifications and related task records.
• Apple and Google: For Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, and in-app purchase processing, according to their respective terms and privacy policies.
• Other Users (Community Feed): Content you voluntarily publish to the community feed (such as modified images, display name, and modification details) is visible to other users of the Application.

4. Data Security and Retention

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and Firebase security rules. We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Application, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.

You can delete individual modification tasks from your history within the Application. You can delete your account from profile settings (registered accounts may need to re-authenticate). Account deletion removes your user profile and associated data from our systems, subject to reasonable backup retention periods. You may also contact us at the email below to request deletion.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. Within the Application, you can:

• View and Manage Content: Access your modification history, profile, and community posts you have shared.
• Update Profile: Change your display name and profile photo in profile settings.
• Delete Content: Remove saved modification tasks from your history.
• Delete Account: Permanently delete your account and associated data through profile settings, or by emailing us. For guest accounts, include details that help us identify your account (such as your user ID if shown in the app).
• Notification Preferences: Enable or disable push notifications in your device and in-app settings.
• Analytics: You may limit certain analytics collection through your device privacy settings; some features may still require basic technical data to function.
• Sign-In Choices: You may continue as a guest or link a permanent account using email, Google, or Apple at any time.

6. Children's Privacy

The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

7. International Users

Your information may be processed and stored on servers operated by our service providers, which may be located outside your country of residence. By using the Application, you consent to such processing where permitted by applicable law.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Application. Your continued use of the Application after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
